    1. Nice!

Reviewed: March 28, 2011 by Anonxw, a Straight Going Steady Female

I usually have an issue with the tightness at the top of stockings as I don't like them making my legs look chunky! But these aren't too bad, they are tight but they hold up! It depends on personal preference really but I liked them. :)

Also, I found it difficult to find a pair of white stockings that I actually liked as there are not many around. My usual buy would be black but I wanted these for a change and my boyfriend likes white underwear.

Overall they are a nice buy, especially for a nice change. :)

    1. Chunky and Cheap

Reviewed: September 16, 2010 by Tigerlilies, a Straight Single Female

These hold ups came to me as part of a bumper pack that I won in a Lovehoney competition. Fishnets and fences nets aren't my style but I can see the appeal, especially for someone who likes a vintage look. The pair I received are black.

The cardboard packaging tells me that one size fits all and since they're made of elastic materials, I don't think anyone should have any problems. The instructions also told me not to iron

The widely spaced netting felt very unflattering. Along with the chunkiness of the nylon, I feel like my shapely pins are getting lost in the pattern. I like hosiery to feel like a second skin but the fence net felt too cumbersome. Looking at the Leg Avenue's range of hosiery, there are prettier, more subtle styles that have a smaller pattern.

The first time I wore them, I immediately noticed how all the netting gets caught up between the toes, not a pleasant experience but the netting itself feels strong and durable. It is easy to get caught on things and it's not something I enjoy touching. If you like a smooth texture that you can run your hands over, then these are not for you.

A band of stretchy fabric keeps everything up and it's more secure than the designs that only have a rubber lining on the inside. However, the plain material looks a little cheap compared to the lacy details you can find for the same price.

I won't be wearing these again but I would consider purchasing something from the Leg Avenue range, which has some great alternatives. For me, this pair felt cheap and they weren't pleasurable to wear.

If you have your heart set on this style, I would look for something more delicate.

      Pros
They do indeed hold up and they're not overpriced.
      Cons
Very wide pattern, so the netting gets caught around the toes and looks cheap.
      Bottom line
Not pleasurable to wear and unflattering. Best for costumes and die hard fence net fans

    1. Not for me

Reviewed: March 4, 2012 by TazzyTee, a Bisexual Married Female

I love fence nets and in the past have had many pairs. Since the make I had previously worn have become discontinued I have been looking for an alternative.

Sadly, these will not be it!

I am a size 14 and found the tops incredibly tight around my thighs. I guess these might suit smaller ladies or ones with less muscular legs, but I felt like these might stop my circulation - not a good look or feel!

The material is kind of fuzzy to the feel and is matt - and I prefer silky to fuzzy.

All in all, I can't find anything positive to say about these hold ups :(

Would never purchase these again, they are a poor fence nets (which I love!).
