This is a beautiful, and well made satin bra. I really love the purple colour.
I am a size 30E and bought this bra in Small. It was quite a bit loose in the underbust, but perfect in the cups, which was surprising! It offers very little support. I think it would fit someone around 32-34D-DD perfectly.
It also looked very sporty once on. I actually wear sports bras quite a lot for comfort and support, but this didn't give either of those, just the look. It would be very nice for someone who likes a sports luxe look though. And it is very good quality.
- Nice colour, well made, good quality.
- Looked too sporty for me, doesn't have any support.
- Bottom line
- Great quality, but not for me.

Unusual fit, but gorgeous nonetheless

Like the previous reviewer, I am also in two minds about this bra. I have the Fifi Longline Briefs, and oh my, they are amazing, so I heavily hinted to my OH that a complete set would absolutely make my birthday, and thankfully he got the hint!
At the time of buying, I was a size 18 with 36DD/E breasts, so I received the XL size. However, the back band was too loose, even with such a large breast size. It needs to be mentioned now, that despite the beauty of the model photograph, it is deceiving when it comes to the amount of actual support the bra gives. When you're wearing it, there is so much more side-boob than the photo suggests.
Granted that when you adjust the bra it is possible to achieve cracking cleavage, but don't be surprised when your boobs fall out around twenty seconds later. The side-boob doesn't look awful to be completely honest, it just looks different.
Not long after I received the XL bra, I started to lose weight, and my cup size went down to a 36D (dress size 14), so I decided to give the Large a go. I still had the same problem as I had with the XL, in that the back band was too loose. I'm not sure why this is, I think it's perhaps because the material is so stretchy.
I got less side-boob and more cleavage with the smaller size though, which was a big improvement. I worry that if I sized down one more time, the satin cups wouldn't cover enough boob and my breasts would constantly fall out, so I think I'll take sleepycelia's advice and stitch the back band to be a little tighter.
Despite the unusual cut and fit, the bra itself is lovely, extremely silky and the rich, deep purple colour is just fabulous. My OH absolutely loves it. The unpadded cups allow for very easy access. It looks absolutely perfect with the matching briefs and a pair of hold-ups, I'd go as far to say that it's one of the sexiest lingerie sets I own.
It doesn't look the best under clothes and you can see the outline of the triangles underneath, but it is a fantastic pyjama bra. As I live in shared accommodation I don't like wandering around the house in pyjamas with no bra on, but I also don't like wearing traditional bras when I sleep. For someone as lazy as me, this is the perfect compromise! Comfortable enough to sleep in, but decent enough support that I'm not flopping around too much if I happen to bump into a housemate when I'm going to the toilet in the middle of the night.
At full price, I would say that for the lack of support this bra is a total waste of money. However, in the sale I think it's not too bad at all value-wise, and if you already own the Fifi Longline Briefs, they make a lovely set together. If KMD bring this design out again in future in a different colour, then I'm not sure I'd buy it again, but for a one-off bit of something completely different, I really like it.
- Colour, silkiness of the material, how well it goes with the briefs.
- The very unusual sizing.
- Bottom line
- Lovely, but very unusual.

One for lounging

When I saw this had gone down to £13 in the sale, I had to have it. I already have the Fifi longline brief and adore it, so completing the set was something I couldn't resist!
First off, a word about sizing - I'm usually a 12 or 14 with a fairly large chest (30F, I just got measured), but prefer soft-cup or unpadded bras, which seem to come only in S/M/L sizes, so I usually opt for the L and adjust the band size with a needle and thread.
The Kiss Me Deadly sizing seems to run a little bigger in my experience, and I've had good luck previously with their soft cup bras, so I didn't expect to have any issues. I bought the L, which Lovehoney have also labelled as a 14-16.
The quality of the bralet is lovely, as always. The satin is thick, soft, and layered, the stitching and clasps are strong, the black accents and diagonal embroidery add an art deco touch and overall, it's a beautiful, high quality lingerie piece.
It's surprisingly supportive for a soft cup bra, thanks to the thicker band, and while the straps are made from slippery satin, adjusting them is easy and they don't slide around like some do. You might want to get some crepe paper or a nice bag for gifting as it doesn't come in a fancy-pants lingerie box or anything, just a plastic bag.
Unfortunately, as soon as I put it on I could tell something was amiss. I found myself spilling out at the sides, while simultaneously having spare room - you can sort of see what's going on with the very lovely model in the image, the cups are undercut a little on the sides and I ended up with significant side boob (not a phrase I ever thought I'd write) and gaping material next to my armpits.
To give it credit, it made my chest look luscious and worthy of the cover of a bodice-ripper, but it just wasn't that comfortable. However, I think adjusting the band is going to help solve a few of these problems - I pinned the excess with a hairpin and it seemed to improve the placement of the cups a bit, although it's still very much a lounging-around-and-eating-caramels bra and not one for practical stuff.
To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what to do with this. I don't want to return it as it's very, very pretty and I'm a sucker for having matching sets, but I can't wear it for more than half an hour and it's really not suitable for wearing under clothes.
Currently, I'm veering towards keeping it as I got it for a steal and I think stitching up the band is going to help. However, I'd recommend popping over to the Kiss Me Deadly site if you're looking at buying it. They suggest it works best for 32-36 A-C sizes, and unless you want to adjust it yourself, I think they're right.
- High quality.
- Ample side boob.
- Bottom line
- Very much a lingerie bra, not something for everyday wear.
