    1. Such a luxurious treat

Reviewed: April 4, 2016 by lustyjoy, a Straight Married Female

This is a top quality product, I have never received anything so beautifully presented. Unwrap the pink tissue paper to reveal the boxed set of Catherine pleasure balls. Within in the box is a zipped leather case in chocolate brown that contains three different shaped and weighted balls, all a dark chocolate brown colour. Also is a discreet and sensually written instruction book that explains the weights and how to achieve the best results.

The balls are silky smooth to touch and it is recommended that a little lube is applied before use. I started, as instructed, with the lightest. It's easily inserted due to the shape and smoothness. I found this easy to retain and used it for a few hours instead of the recommended 15 mins.

A day later I tried the next weight up, and again, succeeded in using this. So my challenge came two days later to use the heaviest of the set, also the smallest. I have to say it took me about 20 mins to remember to tighten and clench my muscles to stop it slipping. Once I kept the focus constantly, even when sitting, I could hold it place without it slipping. I know this is making a difference to my pelvic muscles because I have to make a conscious effort to tighten my muscles.

After having had two children, I'm very aware that I would like to be tighter, and, even though this will take longer than the two-week tester limit I have, the fact that I can now conscientiously tighten and maintain that force for an hour is a huge step. I have no doubt in time my muscles will strengthen so that I don't even have to consciously clench.

The pleasure is second in my opinion as I wanted these to tighten my muscles first. I found that the larger lighter weights gave more movement with the balls inside and more pleasure, but as my muscles strengthen, I know that will be same for the heaviest one.

I can't explain how delighted I am with this product and can only urge you to get these if you can afford them, they are so much better than any cheaper options. These would suit anyone as they cater for muscle tension and improvement as well as pleasure. Certainly the quality is second to none.

    1. Life's little luxuries

      Reviewed: April 3, 2016 by Lovebirds_x

The quality in this set is just something else. The packaging is both beautiful and sturdy, with the high quality and discreet leather case offering the ultimate protection from damage and prying eyes alike. But amazing as their packaging is, the balls themselves are a cut above any I’ve tried before.

I was utterly wowed by the smooth, seamless and oh so silky matte silicone. The quality is plain to see and no words of mine can do it justice. So soft, so strokable, and surprisingly not draggy for being matte. The deep brown colour is gorgeous in person too and makes a lovely change from the pinks and purples of the Kegel ball world.

They’re classy, they’re decadent, but the quality is there with the high price tag. This is certainly not a case of all fur coat and no knickers; you are getting a high quality Kegel ball set that with proper care is sure to last you a lifetime.

Before I compare the balls I’d like to highlight that, for once, size is important. Very important. People often fall into the trap of looking at weight as the main statistic when comparing Kegel balls, but in my experience it is more the size and the shape of the balls that determines both how comfortable they will be to wear and how effective they will be in exercising your muscles.

The variety in size and shape is one of the best things about this set. They can be used as a three-step progression, or you can use them according to your needs. In order of recommended progression:

      The tease:

The single ball weighs 50g and has a maximum circumference of approx. 2 inches. You can get lighter balls than this, but 50g is still very beginner friendly and a great starting point for most women.

I found this ball the hardest to insert, but also the easiest to wear. The size meant more lube was necessary as I struggle to insert more than one finger when not aroused, but once inserted the ovular shape makes this ball very comfortable to wear.

This ball does most of the work for you, with its easy to grip size and shape staying put with little to no effort on your part. I barely noticed it was there after a while, it feels very natural. It would be great as a first Kegel ball, to build your confidence along with your muscle tone.

In terms of pleasurable sensations, this ball gives more of a tease than anything. The steel ball inside isn’t very noticeable, but it does give you the odd nudge when bending over or such to remind you it’s there.

Interestingly, the removal cord is longer on this ball than the others. On me it can actually sit against my clit when worn with underwear, which is a fun little tease. More importantly, and this goes for all the balls, the retrieval cord doesn’t have a massive degree of stretch to it. I’ve had this problem with silicone cords before, where the cord will stretch but the ball doesn’t budge. This cord is safe, strong, hygienic and effective, which is great as really the last thing you want is a retrieval cord snapping!

This ball is the best for warming up and gaining confidence with Kegel balls for beginners as well as long term, comfortable wear in more advanced users. The size and shape are filling without being uncomfortable, with the weighted ball providing a gentle tease and mild work out.

      The turn-on:

The duo balls weigh 80g and have a maximum circumference of around 1.5 inches. It’s a small increase both size and weight wise, with the change in shape being the most noticeable aspect during use.

As they’re slightly smaller girth wise, these balls are both easier to insert and more tricky to keep in place than the single ball. I actually found the length a bit too long, with the struggle to keep the balls in place coming from my body pushing them out again. Obviously everybody is different, but for me the duo isn’t a great fit without prior warm up.

The small section between the two balls doesn’t really flex once it is inside you, it feels very solid once inserted compared to how flexible it feels in your hand. It’s worth warming up with the single ball whatever level of strength you have, just so you can be sufficiently stretched/aroused to accommodate the duo comfortably.

The longer length is great at giving a feeling of fullness, though, which combined with having two weighted balls rather than one makes this the most pleasurable of the three. You can feel the weights moving inside you a lot more than with the single ball, and once you are sufficiently aroused (which doesn’t take long) the length is a lot more comfortable to wear.

I think these are the best set if you want a tease as much as a work out. They’re great as part of foreplay, with a great ability to arouse you while you are simply moving around. More experienced users will find these very easy to wear for extended periods of time, so any activity from a teasing dinner date to a trip to the supermarket can become one that turns you on. They’re awesome when combined with a spanking, too. These are the best for leaving you hot and ready for action.

      The workout:

The solid ball weighs 120g and has a maximum circumference of 1.4 inches. Don’t be fooled by the small decrease in size; the real challenge here lies in the change of shape.

This ball is shorter in length than the duo ball, which is great as it solved the insertion problems I had. Don’t despair if you struggle with the duo, the solid ball is far more comfortable to insert and wear and, for me at least, doesn’t require any form of warm up (though a dash of lube is a must). I say comfortable rather than easy, because nothing about this weighty little Kegel ball is easy!

The solid weight means this ball is bypassing pleasure to give a good, hard workout. In some ways the feeling of fullness the weight gives is more arousing than the feeling of balls moving inside you, but arousal is really the last thing on your mind when you are required to concentrate hard just to keep this ball in place.

The shape of this one is really hard to master, there is very little to grip on to to keep such a heavy weight in place so you really need to consciously squeeze. This isn’t a pop it in and forget about it Kegel ball, this is a set time aside in your day to lift some weights Kegel ball, and boy do you feel it afterwards.

I find the solid weight a massive positive, as you’re free to focus on your pelvic floor work out without the distraction of clinking balls or feelings of arousal. It’s refreshing to have a Kegel ball that has toning your muscles as its main priority. Some may find this ball a bore, but you can always backtrack to the duo or single ball if you want a turn on as opposed to a workout.

This ball is definitely the best if you want a workout with no arousal involved. Although you could be turned on through wearing it in the right circumstances (it is deliciously filling weight wise after all), this ball doesn’t set out to turn you on; it wants to tone you up. You really need to concentrate on keeping this tricky little ball in place, so it’s perfect for times when you want to focus on a good, advanced level workout.

Overall this set is brilliant at providing a comprehensive progression, but even more impressive is that each ball specialises in a particular use so they don’t become useless once you move onto the next. There is a ball for all occasions, with none made redundant in the quest for a toned pelvic floor. Really, between the made to last quality and the variety of shapes, weights and sizes, this is a great investment; be it for toning your muscles or a sexual thrill you’ll never need to find another Kegel ball. This set has you covered, and it’s doing it all in style.

I also found the sheer luxury of this set worked as a great motivator. You are drawn to keep going back to the case to look, to stroke, to admire, and since you’re there now anyway hey, you may as well pop one in and make use of it right? If it works, it works!

    2. Overall Rating:
      10 out of 10 stars
High quality, beautiful, perfect mix of work out and turn on, built to last.
      Bottom line
A luxury well worth investing in, these are the only kegal balls you'll ever need.

    1. Give your Kegels the royal treatment

Reviewed: April 1, 2016 by OUCH! Thank you ;), a Straight Married Female

When I received the email telling me I’d been selected to review the Catherine Pleasure Balls Set, I was elated. I’d seen the range already, and all of the pieces are beautiful, meaning that, naturally, I coveted them. So thank you for choosing me, Leanne!

The packaging of this product needs to be raved about, because it’s absolutely stunning. Inside of a lovely, velvety looking outer sleeve is a beautiful box with lovely imagery. Inside of that is a brown leather case with a golden zipper, and an info booklet bearing the same picture as is featured on the box.

Nestled in a foam cut out inside the case, are your three geisha balls, all of which are made entirely from beautiful, smooth brown silicone. They do have visible seams, but they can only just be felt by the fingertips.

They all have stretchy retrieval cords that remain outside of the body, which are strong enough to be harshly tugged without snapping, and as they’re made from the same smooth silicone as the rest of the balls, they cause absolutely no discomfort whatsoever during all day wear.

      Single ball:

This ball weighs a light 50g, and is 2” in length, and 4.5” in circumference, so is ideal for beginners. The generous size combined with the internal, free roaming weight acts as a constant reminder to the wearer to squeeze. It’s very comfortable, and easy to hold onto, so is great while they’re getting accustomed to doing their Kegels.

      Duo balls:

For intermediate users, the double ball is longer at 3.5”, but slightly slimmer at 4”. It weighs in at 80g, boasts two internal, free-roaming balls, and is a little tougher to keep hold of. Again, it reminds the wearer to squeeze, and the weights trigger little contractions all on their own, so just wearing it is a mini workout in itself.

      Solid ball:

Aimed at more advanced users, this peanut-shaped geisha ball is completely solid. There isn’t any jiggling to remind you to squeeze, not that you need it with the 120g weight complying with the laws of gravity! At 3” in length, and just 3.5” in circumference, you really do have to work those muscles to keep it where you put it!

This three step system is perfect for those who don’t want the hassle of figuring out what size or weight balls they need next. An absolute beginner could buy this set, and once holding onto the single ball becomes a breeze, they have the perfect next step, ready and waiting.

All three geisha balls are easy to insert, using a tiny lick of lube. Some people like to sit while they insert them, but I prefer to stand with my left foot on the edge of the bath or bed. Once removed, they can be washed in soapy water, and sprayed with toy cleaner before drying and storing in their fancy leather case.

I would recommend this set as it’s really lovely, but it would all depend on Lovehoney’s price. The price I saw them for sale for was mega high, and I wouldn’t dream of paying that much for kegel balls. After all, Je Joue do a very similar set - less the swish packaging and storage case - for around £45/50.

    2. Overall Rating:
      10 out of 10 stars
Luxurious, comfortable, high quality and beautifully designed.
The price (if it doesn't decrease from the one I saw).
      Bottom line
Perfect for beginners to veterans, but it all depends on the mighty dollar.
