Slice of willy with your cuppa?

I love this willy mould! I love baking, so I was eager to try out this silicone mould in the shape of one of my favourite things!
It's big, it's pink, and it's a great shape. I've seen willy moulds in the past that have looked a little "puny" this certainly isn't that. It can withstand temperatures up to 240 degrees Celsius (although it's unlikely most cake recipes would call for an oven that hot) and down to minus 40 degrees Celsius, so frozen desserts are also an option with this. It's also dishwasher safe, which is handy if you hate washing up by hand, like I do.
It's a dream to use too. I've been using silicone bakeware for about ten years now, and over the years I've learned that you usually get what you pay for, some of the cheaper items are often too thin and flimsy, and food sticking can also be an issue. I didn't have high expectations for this mould, I thought it may be all novelty and no substance - wrong.
I've baked sponge and fruit cakes in it, made a blancmange willy, and something I would never normally do in silicone, I baked bread. The cakes didn't stick, the blancmange turned out in one piece and a multi-grain loaf baked evenly throughout and developed a lovely crust.
The silicone is thick enough to hold its shape even when full of ingredients, and there was no need to bake with a baking tray underneath for stability. It went through the dishwasher well, and didn't stain or mark.
It's a good quality, versatile mould, which certainly creates a centrepiece to talk about! And the best part? Laughing to yourself, knowing you're feeding Granny a slice of cock shaft with her cup of tea!
- It's great fun and very versatile.
- Bottom line
- Brilliant! Maybe not for use if entering a WI baking competition!
