    1. Does it work, is it worth it - yes

Reviewed: August 21, 2014 by Cheap&Easy, a Straight Engaged Female

I am a regular in the anal play department and I had recently thrown out my normal anal lube due to having it for a while and not wanting any issues with it being out of date! I saw this in the "what's new" section and added it to my wishlist immediately!

I was very excited to find out I was going to receive this as a tester, and it arrived quickly and discreetly as usual.

I opened the parcel to find a little grey box inside. I do like this packaging as it's different to some others and it's quite stylish given the nature of the contents. The box is a bit fiddly to open and I ripped it a bit, which is a shame, so bear that in mind if you want to keep the box.

As a test, I put a little in between my fingers and rubbed them together and then rubbed some on the back of my hand. I must say, at a first glance, a little goes a long way, as I only squirted one pump and I had the whole back of my hand covered! There's no smell to this, either, which is good as some lubes I've used in the past have a weird smell to them. It's not sticky or slimy, either, which is another plus point. The last anal lube I had was very thick, sticky and you needed a fair bit to get going. This is the opposite, it's water-based, non-sticky and you don't need a lot!

Now, down to the use. It says it's specifically designed for men, but I'm testing this from both a male AND female perspective.

      Female use:

We used this for anal sex. I squirted a couple of pumps onto my finger and gently rubbed it in as per the instructions on the bottle. I waited a short while and off we went! It has got all of the desired effects that you need from this and my partner didn't get any reduced sensation on his penis as we have had with other lubes. The only problem I had with this is it's not actually a lube, it's a serum to help with comfort, so you can use it as a lube but you would need a bit more for it to work in that way.

I used this to insert a plug too and it definitely helped relax me down there, and it seemed to go in quite easily and I didn't have any reduced sensations.

      Male use:

My partner is relatively new to anal play. I myself have been playing anally for the last 8 or 9 years and he has only been experimenting off and on over last year or so. So this was very interesting to try out on him. I placed a couple of pumps onto my fingers and massaged it in for him. I applied a little extra water-based lube to help with the insertion of the toy, and it went in a treat! He said that it didn't hurt and it didn't feel forced in like it sometimes does (I think I get over-excited with the toys sometimes!).

Overall, it's a brilliant product, and it does what it's supposed to. Definitely worth the money. I would recommend buying the Pjur anal lube to go with this to help with the play even more. It is recommended on the box that you use the two products together. I have plenty of water-based lubes and I may invest in the anal lube sometime in the future.

It's completely safe to use with condoms too, which is a huge plus point for many.

Very good product, very happy with this. Thank you, Lovehoney!

    1. Works quite effectively

Reviewed: September 5, 2014 by benhandy123, a Straight Going Steady Male

This anal serum is great because it helps to decrease sensation during anal sex, without numbing the area (which could cause damage).

The serum really helped to create a gliding sensation that prevented any pain, without reducing pleasurable sensations.

I also used the serum on my girlfriend, who agreed the serum is also great because you only need to use a few drops for it to work so it lasts a while. However, a larger bottle would be really useful.
