    1. Product Description

Said to give unbeatable results, Bathmate's Hydromax X20 penis pump gives you a water pressure fuelled pump with 35% more power, designed to help build you up to your strongest and largest erections yet.

Using water rather than air to pressurize the chamber means the Hydromax is able to exert far greater pressure than air-powered pumps, which could lead to bigger, better results. Improvements in the X20's design build on this superior system, including a new reengineered valve that allows for one-handed filling, a comfort pad that offers a better seal against the body, and a new bellows pump to enhance suction.

Like other Bathmate models, the X20 is designed for use in the bath or shower, so you can easily incorporate it into your daily routine. When following the exercise routine, just 60 days of repeated use should give amazing results, including longer, girthier erections and increased sexual confidence.

      Key Features:

      • Hydraulic penis pump for men with a pre-pump erect length of under 5.5 inches and a girth of under 4.7 inches

    1. Suck 'n' go

Reviewed: October 3, 2015 by Battle Cat, a Straight Going Steady Male

Having previously used a bulb pump type before I was intrigued to try a Bathmate for comparison as well as the fact I tended to only use it in the shower anyway.

Excited to receive my Bathmate Hydromax X20 Small Hydrotherapy Penis Pump, I got straight to work in testing it out.

I was a bit concerned at first as I’m not a rich man and this states it’s for penis size up to 6”, which I am over, but I thought there’d be plenty of room “for growth” so I went for it. Am delighted to say that there is plenty of room for growth indeed but soon found I was filling the length after only a week. It’s my own fault! I should have gone bigger and will very soon upgrade to a bigger model.

I first had to get to grips with how this type of pump works and I have developed a love/hate relationship with it. I love the suction on it, when I use it successfully, it’s really strong and works a treat. Girth has improved, as expected, but also length, which was a negligible gain previously. I’m not saying it’s adding inches, far from it, but it’s more of a positive result I’m seeing although it’s worth keeping up with using it as these things tend to be temporary gains but, as they say, time will tell.

I love using it in the bath, I get best use of this there. Surrounded by hot water is so relaxing, laying back with the sensations these things provide, and seems to provide better results. But I can’t be having a bath every day which leads me on to the shower. I hate using it in the shower. The separately sold strap would be a good purchase as if you let this drop for any length of time then it’s really easy for air to leak in and lose suction, you really do have to keep one hand on it to keep is flush against the body. Having a shower that lasts around 25 minutes is also not feasible.

The instructions on this advise to use the pump for 5 minutes at a time, then relax and massage, and no more than 15 minutes in total in the pump so time really needs to be spent and running a shower for that long really isn’t energy efficient! Tricky. So I combine it with shower and then out of the shower, taking time shaving and tarting about until my session is done which is a bit of a failure. Once out of the shower it’s so much easier to lose suction as the seal is lessened. There’s no easy fix to this, I think, but would be willing to test the strap to see if this helps as it’s not practical to keep one hand holding the pump.

It’s also a fiddly thing to operate, the little valve switch bit at the end is not easy to get to the centre position once you’re all in place, and ready to go, and have found it a bit of a fumble, trial and error, but I get there! The next step is pushing the pump down and releasing, slowly is best, and does require a bit of strength to operate.

I also, like a fool, didn’t realise to start with that to release the suction, when your time is up, that you don’t press down on the little black switch itself but press either side of it on the little dome that houses it. I could so easily have broken the switch!

So, yes then, the suction on this is amazing, hands down beats my old bulb pump, and have noticed more obvious improvements, mainly to the girth but the length both flaccid and erect have shown more of an improvement that I would have believed. In light of this I am very pleased with the product and will continue using it regularly to maintain the improvements to my old fella.

All in all, something I’m still getting used to with regards to operating efficiently but the point is that it does work and I would say the cost is fair. The build quality is good and looks like it will last. I only wish I’d gone for a bigger model but I am an idiot who should have known better.

    2. Overall Rating:
      7 out of 10 stars
      Pros
The suction is great, this product works. The gains are noticeable.
      Cons
Can be tricky to operate, can lose suction if not careful.
      Bottom line
Worthy product, worth getting and using regularly as it looks like it will last well.

    1. Fun but not useful

Reviewed: March 21, 2016 by Joe Steel, a Bisexual Single Male

I have owned three different Bathmate models over the past four years and I have returned each one. I love the concept of the Bathmate. I think it is far better than an air pump. So if you don't like the idea of air pumps then bathmate is the way to go. Bathmate have great social media advertising and admittedly I have been drawn in by these campaigns three times.

If you follow the instructions and Lovehoney's advice by not over pumping until you're member is used to it then you will get on fine. It is a powerful device. You could probably do some damage if you're not careful. It is great fun, however,, because your penis really does grow, but this is mostly water retention from the pressure if you leave in on too long.

The reason that I have returned my Bathmate each time is because, although each model gets more comfortable, I have real problems using it in the shower. I have not had a bath at home for years and I think this is where the Bathmate would excel (Duh, 'bath' is in its name). But in the shower air inevitably gets into the chamber, no matter how hard you pump or how careful you are creating a seal or how methodical you are when using it. This would not happen in the bath because it would be submerged under the water.

The second reason I have returned the device is discomfort. I have found the with each new model comfort has improved, but it is still quite uncomfortable around the base of my penis and feels like a bruise. So I stopped using it.

The final reason I have routinely given up with it is the time you need to invest into the product. Once you get to the point where you can have a 20 minute pump without hurting yourself, you really need to keep it up everyday without fail to see any longer-lasting results. I just don't have that much time in my shower routine to do so.

    2. Overall Rating:
      5 out of 10 stars
      Pros
      Much better than air pumps.
      Cons
Does not really work in the shower.
      Bottom line
If you have a bath, not a shower, then go for it.
