The BF has a fantasy for a beautiful woman to take him in every which way... We decided that pegging was what he actually meant and set about looking for a harness. We initially tried a strapless strap on, as he really wants me to gain pleasure from it too (sensible man), but it didn't allow me the control I needed to be accurate and not end up hurting him! We went for the Doc Johnson Vac U Lock system because we both like variety and are looking to build an arsenal (pardon the pun) of great quality, long lasting sex toys. This one stood out because it was made of leather and not plastic and came with two plugs. I haven't tried using the harness with both plugs in yet - I'm scared I'll lose control!

Having used both separately, I can say that you feel every thrust register gently inside yourself, and certainly eradicates potential boredom. The butt-plug attachment is just a little too big for me to sustain in extended sessions, but of course the great thing about this set is that it can be removed and added to as required. The vaginal plug is a testament to great ergonomic design: it gives the feeling of fullness and stimulates the G-spot as I move in him. It all feels very secure, being able to place him in any position and leaving my hands free for other things...

Something that isn't mentioned is that it's supplied with a vibrating bullet holder (I assume the small slit on the inside of the harness does the same thing. It's just a small piece of leather with an elastic loop and slits for it to fit on the straps and be placed anywhere. It could also hold a small controller for a butterfly/bullet, etc. There is also a bit of extra leather that can work as an extender for larger users, or can be worn as a bracelet. Your choice.

The only thing we disliked was the massive dildo that comes with it. The old Juli Ashton Ultra Harness kit was exactly the same but had a smoother, prettier jelly prober (which we bought at the same time as making this purchase). It's got perfect girth for vaginal intercourse, but it's too ugly (for a straight man), veiny, wide and grainy in texture for gentle anal action.

That said, it's all about the investment. The actual Vac U Lock element is faultless, you'll be hard pushed to find a higher quality and secure harness and we are more than happy that we have the option to add more toys in endless configurations!

    1. The Jim'll Fix It of Sex Toys

Reviewed: 27 Sep 2010 by SlipperyWhenWet, a Going Steady Straight Male

For me, this harness is the Jim'll Fix It of sex toys.

For those too young to remember, Jim'll Fix It was a TV show where an eccentric tracksuit wearing pensioner called Jim "fixed it" for people's wishes to come true.

Well for a long time it's been my wish (ok, my fantasy) to have my lovely other half give me a good pounding with a strap-on - and guess what? Lovehoney and this harness "fixed it" for me! And all without a "Dear Jim" letter or a tracksuit in sight!

Right - onto the review proper: This is our second harness - the first was a fairly standard 'starter harness', with a regular 'O ring' fitting. It only got one attempted use - the OH found it just wasn't a secure enough fit to allow any proper thrusting - basically it just didn't work for us. We also have a 'Feeldoe' style 'strapless strapon', and that never quite did it for us either. Some time passed and I decided it was time to do what I should've done in the first place and get something a bit more 'professional'. Having done some research Vac-u-Lock seemed the obvious choice.

It was very important to me to get something that stimulated the girl as well as the guy - I know Ms SWW would happily do it just because I like it, but having her really getting off on it makes it so much hotter. So, I decided to go with the Doc Johnson Female Harness and its two plugs for the wearer. Now, something that I just couldn't find a firm answer to anywhere in my research, so I'm happy to be able to mention here, is that the 2 wearer plugs ARE on their own little Vac-u-Lock plugs. This is brilliant, as it means you have such flexibility - theoretically if the wearer likes it big she could have a 7 inch dong in her pussy and a 5 inch probe up her ass - or any other combo of Vac-u-Lock attachments. Or the wearer plugs can be removed completely if you want to go without.

Now to the problem we had with our older harness - the secure-ness of the fit – the Doc J Female Harness (aka the Ultra 2000) excels here, with sturdy (but pleasantly soft – they don’t cut in at all) leather straps and buckles & plenty of room for adjustment to fit all sizes. Ms SWW is a bigger girl (size 18), and was a little nervous that it wasn't going to fit her, but fit it did. Of course you have the added advantage that the plug (or plugs) inside her are an anchor to hold the harness firmly in place. The plugs themselves are a fairly firm, black, shiny rubber, and a little bigger than I expected, which is no bad thing!

The dildo that comes with this set is just right for me. Size wise I guess it falls into the medium-big category - size is subjective so best just to look at the dimensions but it's just the sort of size I'm happy with. Of course since this is a Vac-u-Lock harness you have a whole range of compatible dildos to choose from if you prefer bigger or smaller. I guess some guys (or gals) might prefer a less realistic option - to be honest before we got it I felt the same way, but now it doesn't bother me - it's just Miss SWW's 'cock', and that's that. It's reasonably soft to touch, a little softer than an actual erect cock (well mine anyway, I haven't done any other comparisons!). The 'ultra real' skin doesn't really feel that much like skin, but it is a pleasant texture, and works well with lube (we use Maximus). Out of the box it had a faintly fruity smell, certainly not unpleasant. The Vac-u-lock mechanism to attach dildo to harness is excellent - totally solid connection once it's on - beats an 'o-ring' by far in my opinion.

Overall the construction of the harness, plugs and attachments is very high-end - it may be a little more pricey than some other options, but this is a strap on that's going to last. I’ve tried to think of negatives just to be thorough – all I can think of are a) it’s a thong style harness, for obvious reasons – if your wearer would prefer something that doesn’t ‘ride up’ one of the other vac-u-lock harnesses may be better. Ms SWW just cut a hole in a pair of knickers (for the pussy plug – she hasn’t quite graduated to having the butt plug too) to wear under the harness & stop it riding up too much – of course for some the riding up might be part of the fun! ...b) Again, it’s self apparent really, but worth mentioning – if the wearer wants to switch to receiving, the harness needs to be removed completely to gain access to the wearer’s... bits – it’s a trade off – wearer plugs or easy access – you can’t have both! ...and c) As I said the dildo is towards the soft size (which I like) but sometimes this results in it popping out when changing angles or positions. Not the end of the world though, you can always get a different Vac-u-lock dong. The only other thing is that the Vac-u-lock range is perhaps a little limited. They’re mainly ‘realistic dildos’ – it would be nice if there were a few novelty not-so-realistic ones, but I guess you can’t have everything!

Most importantly; use. What can I say - I love it. First time out, it wasn't long before she was pounding me every which way - bent over a chair, legs in the air, riding her 'cowgirl'- it was all amazing, all the more so as it was clear as day she was loving it too - to quote Miss SWW: "every time I pushed into you I could feel it pushing deeper into me!". The dildo stayed firmly on it's Vac-u-lock plug and the harness stayed firmly on (and in) Ms SWW. By the end we were both panting and sweating and my occasional anal cravings were satisfied like never before. Since then we’ve gone at it again with more positions and spectacular success (one of my most intense orgasms of recent memory) and we’re eagerly looking forward to more of the same in the future.

If you're thinking of investing in a strap on, and you think you're gonna be a serious user, look no further than this. It may be 3 times the price of some other options, but it's 300 times better!

What more can I say, except thank you Lovehoney & Doc Johnson for fixing it for me! (Now where’s my medal?!)

    1. A quality harness for your first time!

Reviewed: 01 Apr 2009 by ToyRater

I got this harness set over two years ago, and it's as good as new now. The quality is superb, the leather and the dildo in particular. As my first try at this type of toy I was pleasantly surprised at the great quality of the dildo.

I still can't find a better quality dildo anywhere; it doesn't flake, it's firm but flexible, has great weight and is very realistic to touch and feel.

In the kit you have the harness, a red plug which clips to the harness to attach your dildos and some powder/lube to help get it on the plug. There are two internal plugs, which can be detached easily, there is no velcro and nothing itchy.

The plugs are a good value (ie butt plug) so that you can use it elsewhere or on someone else to get them ready for a realistic strap-on. More to share!

The harness itself is G-string style with a good adjustable side buckles. There is enough give in this product and even though it is leather it's very comfortable.

The dildo, however, is quite weighty. If you have a smaller frame perhaps you will find the weight a bit much for a long session. I am now considering the Feeldoe as a replacement.

To be honest, now seeing other ranges of dildo I can say that Doc Johnson has the best quality and most realistic looking toys there are on the market.

It is worth saving and you will get every penny's worth! Doc Johnson are made to last and that is reflected in the price of some of the attachments. Having said that I've just seen that prices are starting at £11.99 so why not go for it!
