    1. Product Description

Lock limbs for uninhibited erotic exploration with this hand-treated rope, braided from a linen-hemp blend that handles easily and binds securely. Whipped ends prevent fraying while its shorter than average length makes it ideal for first-time rope play.

At 4 meters in length this rope is great for simple wrist and ankle ties, and won't leave you with lengths of excess rope to hide or chop off. Use it to restrain your lover's arms or legs, or add it to more complex rope art for the finishing touch. The rope's matte surface stops slippage during play, while its super-soft finish ensures wear is comfortable and never chafes. All-in-all, a perfect rope for beginners.

    1. Nice enough but nothing special

Reviewed: July 5, 2016 by Spoonerism, a Bisexual Engaged Female

This rope arrives nicely presented with a Coco de Mer branded cardboard tube around the middle and a little red ribbon, which is a cute touch.

I'd previously only handled Lovehoney's regular cotton bondage rope which is a completely different beast to this rope. The cotton is soft, thicker and easy to handle. I found the Coco de Mer Linen Bondage Rope to be significantly rougher (which of course will appeal to some people), stiffer and thinner (it's only 5mm which to me seems really skinny in the flesh).

The quality seems to be pretty high, though I am admittedly not a rope expert, and the ends are finished with a knot and red thread to prevent fraying (far nicer than the tape used on cheaper ropes).

Rope bondage is something I adore but don't get to indulge in very often. I found this rope to be a little too thin and the stiffness made it awkward to work with and control. The length was manageable though and is ideal for basic restraints rather than the full blown harnesses that I prefer to create.

The rope holds its knots very well which makes it awkward to undo in a hurry so have some scissors on hand. Some will like the security whereas I prefer to be able to loosen knots without having to struggle so much or have to cut and expensive length of rope.

Overall, I admire the quality of this rope and how it was presented but owing to the reasons mentioned previously, I didn't really enjoy playing with it as much as I thought I would. I think beginners would be better off sticking to the thicker, softer cotton. Also again I'm no expert but its price point seems a little dear for what it is. Not massively impressed with this one.

      Presentation and quality.
A little too thin, stiff and rough for my personal tastes. Too pricey.
      Bottom line
Turned out to just not be my jam.
