A saucy twist on the classic memory game, Matchmaker includes 36 pairs of cards to be matched for hours of erotic inspiration and fun. The aim of the game is to make as many matches as possible. But what do you win? Well, the prize is up to you...
There are three types of cards to be matched: Picture, Command, and Role Reversal. When you get a Picture match, keep the cards and take another turn. For a Command match, your partner must reward your win by carrying out the instruction on the card - that is, unless they have a Role Reversal match to turn the tables on you...

A conversation starter

Unpacking, I dived in with enthusiasm and threw the cards everywhere. There is no excess packaging here - it's good for the environment. Take your time and be impressed with the space-conservative box.
There are three cards types: picture, command and reversal. The design is suggestive, tending towards the romantic/fun side rather than erotic.
We started with basic rules. It is a game of memory with command cards requiring the other person to do certain flirtatious activities such as 'hit on me like I am a stranger you want to take home tonight' and reversal cards are saved to turn the command on the person who won it.
It took a while for us to warm to the game. While kinky, we are not so big on sexual conversation and both entered the game feeling like it was some kind of trap. About half way through something clicked and it got sexy.
We played again the next night, and the game got a lot better. Even though it seems like a bit of a farce at first, if you treat this like a game of memory, the sexy bits follow on their own. Don't treat it like a gimmick and it won't be one. We have added a rule of our own: a victory condition involving the first picture card you picked up. There is plenty of room for experimentation, taking the prizes outside of the game and even into the next week.
We both struggle to have conversation about sex, and we had a big breakthrough while playing. It gave us a focal point that wasn't a dead end the way pornography can be. A bit of alcohol to loosen the tongue and it becomes natural and easy to talk about the things you associate with the images in front of you, without confrontation.
This game helps sex be approachable and friendly, the kink level is vanilla and that is exactly where it should be; a game without pressure to perform is like foreplay for the whole week.
- Bold suggestive imagery without pornography.
- The commands are a bit hit and miss.
- Bottom line
- A game without pressure to perform is like foreplay for the whole week.
