All I can say is it is worth every single penny!

It has given me the most incredible orgasms. I'm in complete control and I can hover on that Lovely pre-orgasm tingle before deliciously pushing myself over the edge.

From then it's one orgasm after the next in waves of warm rolling bliss, like sitting in a beach with the sea warmly lapping up my body. Incredible.

    1. Make me purr

Reviewed: February 6, 2016 by Skitty, a Bisexual Going Steady Female

After lusting over the original Womanizer for about a year, I was shocked but thrilled to receive the new Womanizer W500 for Christmas.

As the price reflects, this is the most luxurious toy I've ever seen. The packaging is a very nice lidded white box with a picture of the Womanizer on the front. Nestled inside is the Womanizer, complete with a little bit of ribbon to help lift it out of the box, and underneath is a black storage pouch, a charging cable and instructions. In a little sealed foil packet, there is a second silicone nozzle.

I know that a lot of people think the design of the Womanizer toys is a bit garish, but I personally think the toy looks very pretty in person. My partner purchased it in purple, which I'm glad of as it's so bright and vibrant. It's a fuschia-type pinky purple, so if you're not a fan of pink you may prefer it in one of the other colours. It's now stocked in black and rose red as well as white and purple, so that's awesome!

The on/ off button is resplendent in its usual diamante glory, which again personally I love. It really doesn't feel like a button though - I had to read the instructions to find that you need to press and hold the diamond to turn it on.

It's very obvious when the toy is on because the silicone nozzle glows bright red. I totally wasn't expecting this and I'm not sure why it's necessary, especially as the red clashes with the pink-purple of the toy and you'll never be in doubt over whether the toy is on or off as it emits noise as soon as it's on.

The toy creates an unusual noise that isn't especially loud on its lowest setting but does start getting pretty loud as you ramp up the power. It doesn't sound like a sex toy though, and it's not the sort of noise that would travel or be obvious as to what it is. Instead of a vibrating noise, it's more of a slow chugging sound, a lot like purring. My cats agree and start purring whenever they hear it. What can I say, pussies just love this toy. Sometimes I feel like I'm practically purring too!

The Womanizer is very easy to use, you just press and hold the diamond to turn it on, then slip the nozzle over or near your clitoris. Once it's in place, the noise does lessen but I never found that it completely silences it like the instructions boast. You gently hold the toy in place with no need for any pressing, rubbing or thrusting. To change the intensity, there's a silver bar button with + at one end and - at the other. It's very easy to press even when in use.

I've been pondering over this review for a while now, because I've found it hard to decide what I think of the Womanizer W500, especially because Womanizer products tend to get such glowing reviews so I was surprised when I wasn't totally converted from my very first try. But then I realised that maybe it's best for me to post what I think of it now, before I've properly decided whether it's definitely for me, so that other people know that some people don't warm to it immediately or find it a 100% amazing toy from the very beginning. I imagine that I could very well be won over to being totally in love with it in time, but perhaps it's more helpful to know what it's like for a beginner who doesn't find it immediately life-changing and the holy grail of clitoral toys.

The feeling isn't exactly what I was expecting. From having a year to imagine what this magical type of toy would feel like, I think I'd built up a lot of expectations and was insanely excited to try it out. This isn't to say that it doesn't feel good, but it wasn't the completely new sort of feeling I thought it would be.

To me, it doesn't feel exactly like sucking, and it doesn't feel like traditional vibrating. You can definitely feel vibrations through the nozzle, but very slow, low-frequency vibrations, and the seal that the space in the nozzle creates heightens everything and creates a very gentle suction that leaves the area very sensitive and enlarged, a lot like how a pussy pump works but much gentler and only on the clitoris. I find that I don't have to place the nozzle directly over the clitoris to feel pleasure from it either, it feels nice but less intense in the labia area near the clitoris.

There are a couple of things that are especially great about this toy that really start to justify the price because they're things that I don't experience from any other toy.

The Womanizer is much less numbing than traditional vibrating toys, which means that I've sometimes been able to achieve more than one orgasm during one session, either just solo using the toy, or using the toy during sex after already having an orgasm. I would say that because of how intense the sensation is, particularly when you orgasm from the Womanizer, it's not a magical fix to sensitivity and numbness.

I often find that I can't use a vibrator after the Womanizer because I'm too sensitive, or if I've been using a vibrator already that's numbed me, using the Womanizer doesn't really help. But overall I do find it great to have something a little different in my toy box now that feels unlike any of my other toys.

To try to describe how it feels, I'd say that the second that it's placed on me, I feel warm and tingly all over. It's like accelerating the pleasure to the point just before orgasm straight away, and then you get to stay in that happy place for as long as you can stand. It bypasses all the warm-up and any difficulties in getting turned on. It's great as foreplay to get you really warmed up very quickly and easily before sex.

It is possible to use the W500 during sex, but only in certain positions where you can get the space needed to hold it in place. I find that you can hold the handle towards you rather than away from you and it feels the same, so this really helps. It's definitely easier to use as a solo toy, but it does feel great during sex if you can find a good position that allows it to stay in place.

The W500 has 8 intensity settings, but I think I've only ever reached setting 3. Because of this, I'm really glad that my partner selected the W500 rather than the W100 because the new version has a lower first speed, and I'm mostly only able to use it on the lowest setting. The others are seriously very intense!

Orgasms with the Womanizer feel amazing, and are achievable very quickly with little effort or 'foreplay'. I find that it takes maybe 2 minutes if I'm wanting a quick session. I do find that they're extremely, extremely intense and cause me to tense pretty much every muscle in my body, which can feel great but can be totally exhausting. I tend to prefer toys that don't make me tense up like this, and so I'm hoping that the more I get used to the Womanizer, the less muscle tension will be necessary to orgasm. I find that sessions with the Womanizer cause me more muscle ache the next day than actual exercise! I often find that at the pivotal moment, sometimes the sensation feels too intense and I want to take the toy away from myself, which can be difficult and frustrating.

Honestly I'm still undecided on whether this toy is worth the price. It's so expensive, but at the same time I don't feel like I'd want to go back to not owning this toy because it's so easy to use and produces such quick results.

I'd say that for people who have difficulty in getting turned on, or experience a lot of numbness or excess sensitivity with usual vibrators, this could be a really great investment. As someone who can usually only experience one orgasm in a session and tends to experience a fair amount of over-sensitivity, I feel that this has opened up new opportunities for me and it's great having another item to add to my very short list of toys that have an almost 100% success rate.

Intense feeling different from any other toy, very quick and easy.
Not waterproof, glows red when in use, gosh it's expensive.
      Bottom line
It's a very exciting toy to own and it feels really good.

    1. Interesting idea, but no cigar

Reviewed: December 1, 2015 by golden_violet, a Straight Going Steady Female

Like everybody else, I read the almost overwhelmingly positive reviews, checked it out, and thought "That's way too expensive". I've never spent that much on a sex toy! And, without knowing if it would work for me, well, it seemed like a gamble that I didn't really want to make.

Then Lovehoney had 25% off. And I saw posters for it downtown (I live in Switzerland). And all my girlfriends were messaging me about it. It seemed like I didn't really have a choice. So... I bought it. At 25% off and all my OH points, it was still stupidly expensive, but...

My box came fast, but not fast enough, since I have to get things delivered in France so as to not pay duty on them, and then collect my delivery from my parents. They handed it over to me after we'd been out to the theatre. I got home at midnight, got rid of the babysitter, and opened up my box.

I don't give a monkey's about packaging. Unless it's one of those wretched blister packs which are impossible to open. This is in a box. Boxes are fine. They go in the recycling. A bag to put it in? Fine too (although I have noticed it keeps on leaving threads on the "treatment head").

It's supposed to be "purple". It isn't, it's fuchsia pink, or hot pink, or... Anyway. Not purple. But that's OK.

I plugged it in to charge for half an hour whilst having a snack (it was already mostly charged, so didn't need longer). The "treatment head", stupid name, flashes green whilst it's charging. So I had to put it in the bag to charge in case a small child woke up and came out of their bedroom and started asking "Why is the pink thing flashing and what is it and can I have it and why can't I have it and is it for my sisters and why can't I have it and..."

I got to bed just before 1 a.m.. Up early with the kids, and yet I was sufficiently curious about the toy to decide that it was worth staying awake a while longer. I followed advice and ran a bit of water-based lube around the edge of the "treatment head" (have you noticed yet that I really think the naming of this is stupid?) before applying it to my nether regions.

Problem. I have the world's smallest clitoris. If I were a guy, I'd probably have a micro-penis. In all honesty, sometimes even I can't find the wretched thing. I have never got indignant when a partner has been guddling around in the wrong spot, because it. is. tiny. Mostly I use Lovehoney's Magic Wand (LOVE it, never fails!), because I don't have to find my clitoris in order to come, I just have to put the head at the top of my lips, and the vibrations get where they are supposed to be.

Coupled with this, it is either absurdly sensitive, or... well, there's not much there. Unfortunately, it's mostly the latter. I don't really get the point of oral sex, because although it's perfectly nice and somewhat amusing, after a few minutes I'm bored.

So. Tiny clitoris. Cannot get the head positioned over it, because it's decided to retract as far as it can go. Which I didn't figure out at first, assuming that it was more or less in the right area, nice little vibrations, ho hum, not the earth-shattering 0-100 in ten seconds that I had read about and quite hoping for even though not expecting.

Nice vibrations, though. Turn it up. Nice. Not getting anywhere, though. Turn it up. Yeah, still quite nice, but... Turn it up. Wriggle it slightly. Holy hells, almost scream and jump out of my skin as it suddenly makes contact. Turn it down! Turn it down some more! And again! Wow, that is a weird feeling. Is this what it feels like to get a blowjob? If it is, no wonder...

Shortly later, I had a very strange orgasm, it felt like a stick breaking. No multiple wows, just one sharp smack. After which I rolled over and went to sleep.

The next morning, having dispatched the offspring to their assorted schools, I tried it again. And again had problems getting it positioned right, but once I did, hit multiple orgasms in under 10 minutes (something which only the Magic Wand has managed in the past). Very satisfying. It definitely helped though that, unlike what other reviewers have said about having to keep it absolutely still, I was seesawing it ever so gently so that it tugged slightly on the folds around my clitoris. As others have also pointed out, an advantage is that there is no "over-stimulation", so you can keep going after coming!

This morning, I tried it for the third time. And I'm pretty sure that I got it right, but... it took me a good 20 minutes to come (if not longer), and it took a lot of effort and concentration. I was really hoping that I would be able to use this to come in only a few minutes (I really don't get much time to myself, and even less privacy), but it's not the case.

So, so far... Meh. It's all right. It's an amusing change from the Wand, it is a very pleasant orgasm, but it's far too much effort for me. Is it worth the money, even on sale? No. Really, it is a stupid price.

Advantages, it is very quiet, which means I can hear the kids if they are about to barge into the bedroom. It is a differently-shaped orgasm than the usual one, and you can have multiples.

Would I buy it again? No. Will I keep using it? Probably now and again, but I doubt I'll ever use it much. I certainly won't be taking it out of my box with the anticipatory smile that greets the Wand. It will probably end up in the box of "toys that just aren't powerful enough to make me come without spending an hour over it and having to use various other accessories".

    2. Overall Rating:
      4 out of 10 stars
      It's an interesting new feeling.
I can't get it positioned right on my clitoris without a lot of fiddling.
      Bottom line
Didn't live up to the hype. Not good enough.
