Escante Blue Shimmering Lace Cut-Out Teddy

Looking for some special lingerie to help celebrate our wedding anniversary, this was my hubby’s favourite. It was more than our usual budget, but with the 30% discount, we decided to treat ourselves to this new, not yet reviewed body.

It was delivered with the usual discreet packaging to his workplace on Friday, then while he was out on Saturday morning I excitedly tried it on. I have sexy underwear in red and black and this is made a refreshing change. I adore the colour, it’s a pretty summery blue and has a lacy pattern which is soft to the touch and shimmers pink as I move.

The sizing:

I’m a size 12 so ordered the M, which turned out be rather generous. I would’ve liked it to cling more but as I am 5’ 9” I think the S would possibly be too short in the body for me, as is often the case.

I struggle with basques etc that have lots of fiddly back fastenings, and I prefer not to have to ask my husband to do me up as I like the surprise reveal and him undoing me instead! So I try to choose items that are reasonably uncomplicated and don’t require contortionist skills, and this piece didn’t disappoint:

The style:

It is a simple step into and pull up style with 1 hook and eye fastener to the back strap. The thin straps from the main bra strap up to the neck are adjustable and help pull the material to achieve a closer fit. I managed to alter these whilst wearing by bringing them to the front and positioning the sliders equally-trial and error until I was happy and then doing up the clip at the neck. This was actually the hardest part as the plastic fastener felt like it may snap if I got it wrong and it took me a few attempts. I’m sure it’ll become easier will practice, but I would’ve preferred silver metal, possibly the LH heart. The gusset isn’t hook and eye as was stated but 3 poppers which I actually prefer and I think we will both find easier. I will be able to wear this on an evening out and I also like underwear that can stay on when things get passionate.

When I was happy with the fitting I stood back and looked in my full-length mirror - I’m not especially confident but pretty lingerie always helps.

The look:

Non-wired support under the bust allows a gentle lift whilst not feeling or looking too enclosed. Criss-cross detailing to the low cut front, and a halter neck style are very flattering, while the cut-out section to the crotch with high leg thong is a cheeky tease!

The performance:

When my hubby got home I couldn’t wait to find out if he found me as amazing as I felt, so I popped on a skirt and top and met him in the kitchen. He gave me a kiss and stroked my boob and immediately knew I was wearing our special purchase.

Once upstairs and down to our underwear, he told me I looked gorgeous, hot and sexy, but also very classy. Later, he said it showed enough but left something to the imagination and he loves this colour on me.
