Packaged simply in a clear plastic bag, the Dominix Deluxe Braun Leather Spanking Paddle is inviting.

16.5 inches in length, a width that tapers from 1 inch to 2 inches, and rigid right up to the last 1.5 inches, this is a serious piece of kit.

The brown side is smooth, and firm and the black side lightly textured and lightly padded. I love the wrist strap. I would hate my OH to drop the paddle during play.

As always, I tested the paddle on myself first before inflicting any pain on my OH. I like to know how an item feels and how much it hurts, so that I can judge how forceful to be. The padded side I found quite a lot softer than I had expected, and I could slap quite firmly before any pain. The smooth brown side, that's a bit more business end, it's rigid and more painful with a satisfying sting after each blow. I was brimming with excitement when my OH came home.

I watched my OH fondle the new paddle with interest but a little hesitation. I grabbed it out of his hand and slapped him with it firmly on the black (softer) side. It comes in a plastic sleeve and has a leather tag with DOMINIX embossed onto it, which give it a rustic earthy feel.

The paddle itself feels divine. One side is smooth leather, perfect for that 'slap' kind of spank (my favourite), and it's the size of a ruler so would also be great in some schoolgirl roleplay. On the other side, the leather is padded and soft, which is great for smoothing over hot skin or for those more heavy 'thud' kind of spanks.

It's great to hold, and has a heavy weight to it, which also makes the product feel sturdy and strong, which is perfect for getting in the mood for a good session!

This is a fantastic addition to anyone's kit. The plain brown leather gives it a gentlemanly feel, and gives the product a high class feel.

Overall, a good addition to any couple's play collection, but would recommend more for couples who have been spanking for a while and not just starting out.
