    1. Want to Play - I don't need asking twice

Reviewed: August 15, 2017 by VioletWolf, a Straight Engaged Female

I was granted the honour of testing this rope before release (thank you kindly!) and you can not begin to imagine the excitement I barely contained waiting for it to arrive! Since having my first taste of shibari earlier in the year, I've acquired quite a liking for it - not just for the fun of being tied up, but the art of it too.

Okay okay, 'It's just rope!' I hear you cry. Yes... and no. This isn't just any rope. This is 10 metres of Fifty Shades Freed rope. And it is a beauty! As a general rule, I avoid purple like the plague, but this is such a rich, luxuriant shade, and coupled with the rose gold endcaps, it just exudes tasteful opulence. As the whole range revolves around the purple and rose gold colouring, it pleases me to see the rose gold incorporated into the rope; the metal caps are a gorgeous little addition, with Fifty Shades Freed engraved into them. It's that attention to detail, that little extra, that sets this rope apart from others.

The rope itself is a very soft and smooth twist design, and with a full 10 metres it's incredibly versatile, plus an ideal length for beginners. The silky feel is not only gentle and non-abrasive on the skin, but also makes untangling it much easier, something that I find I need to take full advantage of because I am clumsy! During play, it did leave indents in my skin, but for those that don't like wearing their marks the material ensures they fade quickly after the rope is removed.

Again, attention to detail is evident in the packaging of the rope. In black and rose gold, the printed card sleeve holds the rope at its middle, allowing the bundle to be shown off. The sleeve should be removed with care - don't be so hasty to rip in and discard it because the wonder lies on the reverse! When you open the packaging out, you will find a little set of instructions on how to bind the wrists of your willing volunteer. This amazes me and I love it! It's just one of those little additions that makes a big difference to a beginner.

During testing, we used the rope on bare flesh as well as with me wearing various lingerie to see how well the palette sits against other colours. I really enjoy having accessories to my play that match both my mood and my lingerie; it just makes me feel better presented and more enticing when it all looks good together. Funnily enough, grey was the favourite!

Fifty Shades has been an introduction to a kinkier lifestyle for so many people, making the full range of products both accessible and non-intimidating to beginners through the franchise, whilst also still being a hot purchase for the more advanced kinksters out there. The whole range feels royal and classy, and there's certainly no reason why a King or Queen can't find themselves enticed, entrapped and enthralled by this rope.

    1. Soft, strong and perfect for fun.

Reviewed: July 19, 2017 by Sianie_Lou, a Bisexual Engaged Female

The first thing I noticed about this product was the simple packaging, it was sleek and high quality which perfectly represents the brand and the product.

There isn't much to dislike about this product, unlike most bondage rope available it is soft, stylish and enjoyable to use.

The softness and length of the rope means it can be used for more complicated bondage and can be pulled and tugged on without leaving marks, scratches and scars on the body.

The length of the rope is also a bonus, at 10metres long, it's not too long and it's not too short, it allows you to explore new and different bondage styles, but isn't so long that it ruins the fun and experience by getting tangled up and in the way.

The colour of purple is lovely and sensual compared to the usual red or black rope which ultimately makes the experience more pleasurable.

The addition of the caps on the cord reduces the chance of the rope coming undone or fraying so it will last longer. It also makes it easier to tie strong knots which don't easily come undone but can be undone quickly if there is an emergency or a need for quick release. This is also a great safety feature and the silk effect of the rope helps with releasing knots as they slide out easily when being undone.

I have used this product several times since getting it, on my self and on my partner and he is very experienced with bondage and was surprised at how good this product was.

To fully test it, we even managed to use it with hooks on the wall and it was strong enough to hold a lot of tugging and pulling without any sign of weakness. We also tied it into multiple knots and created a spider web of different knots and styles and all of which were easy to undo.

We thoroughly enjoyed using the silk rope and will continue to use it.

Definitely a good buy and I would recommend it to anyone.

    2. Overall Rating:
      10 out of 10 stars
      Pros
I loved how soft the rope and it was comfortable to use.
      Cons
      No complaints at all
      Bottom line
      Sensual, sleek and sexy.

    1. Ready to learn the ropes?

Reviewed: July 26, 2017 by Friday13, a Straight Single Female

My first thought upon seeing the rope was of the curtain tie backs we had in my house as a child. They say the origin of our kinks can be traced back to early experiences but curtain tie backs really don't scream sexy to me.

After pushing aside the comparison to soft furnishings, I could see this rope ticked off most of the points on my wishlist and, most importantly, it's my favourite shade of purple.

I enjoy different types of rope in different situations and for different reasons. I love coarse rope because it feeds the masochist in me but sometimes I like more playful tying and that's where soft rope, like this one, comes in. It doesn't need any treatment to make it smooth and to stop fibres getting everywhere which is a huge plus. As it is really soft and silky, I was concerned knots would slip but the texture gives it grip.

The rope is strong and doesn't stretch much when pulled taut so not only is it great for decorative ties but there is no chance of wriggling free. The rose gold bits that stop the ends fraying are a thoughtful addition.

I think it is the perfect length. Ten metres gives you lots of options for ties but isn't too unwieldy. The last thing you want to do is end up tying yourself up in the process of tying someone else.

This rope scores highly on every practical criterion, yet the niggling thought it looks like curtain ties is difficult to shift.

    2. Overall Rating:
      9 out of 10 stars
      Pros
The colour, strong, soft against skin.
      Cons
Reminds me of curtain tie backs.
      Bottom line
Perfect for everyone except those with an unexplainable aversion to curtain tie backs.
