    1. Laying down with the Laya II

Reviewed: October 3, 2017 by *sexybabe*, a Bisexual Married Female

I was sent the Fun Factory Laya II vibrator for free in exchange for my honest review. Thanks, Leanne!

I read some negative reviews about this. I respect the opinion of others, however, I choose to remain open-minded. I like to research products to get a feel for them myself. We all have different bodies, sizes, needs and preferences and what doesn't work for some will work for others.

The Laya II comes in a sexy black box, showcasing the Laya with an image of the toy on the front. Fun Factory always have rather glamorous packaging, expensive looking and classy. You need to slide out the gold box, a signature style for Fun Factory's more luxurious toys, and open the lid.

Inside the gold box is a pictorial user guide, the Laya II, magnetic charger and a Health and Safety booklet and instruction sheet. Everything is in its own compartment so it's neat, tidy and useful for storage.

      The Laya II

The Laya II is quite small; it seems bigger on the website. It is curved with one end being slightly slimmer (the handle) and the other being rounded, and quite wide. Looking at it with the buttons facing up, it reminds me of the head of a cobra snake!

The silicone is soft, but not silky. Fun Factory's high-quality silicone is like this; it gives a lovely gentle feeling against the skin, but it's a good idea to use a bit of water-based lubricant.

The Laya II comes with some charge (hurrah!) so you can use it straight away. Fun Factory give a detailed explanation in the booklet of the charging system, as follows:

      Bottom light on – 33 – 66% charged

      Both lights on – 66 – 100% charged

      Such German precision!

The charger’s magnetic buttons are very powerful so they click into place easily.

There are 4 constant speeds and 6 patterns. The Fun Factory button turns the Laya II on and off, and above this are two buttons marked with a plus and a minus. I assumed these would enable you to scroll backwards and forwards through the patterns and speeds, but I find them a bit confusing as when I get to speed 3, the plus button switches to a pattern. But using the minus I can ascertain there are 4 speeds!? That part is quite annoying as I like a toy that is easy to use and doesn't launch into a pattern when I'm about to orgasm!

Upon switching the Laya II on, it growls into action at its lowest speed, which is slow and rumbly. The second and third are quite a bit louder, faster and buzzier. There are 4 constant speeds, none of which are hugely powerful but there is a nice range of rumbly to buzzy.

The vibrations don't seem that powerful; I don't know if that's due to the motor, or the fact that the silicone is so thick, so perhaps the vibrations don't transmit through it very well.

The motor is in the wider end of the Laya II and the vibrations don't travel upwards very much, meaning the other end (the 'handle') doesn't vibrate very much and you don't get a numb hand by holding it.

So, how does it feel? Very soft for a start. The silicone is gentle against my clit which I really like. Pressing the length of the curved Laya into my vulva feels okay, but not amazing. I enjoy a bit of broad stimulation whilst I'm warming up, but then I like it a bit more direct once I'm fully aroused. Therefore I like toys that offer both. This doesn't offer 'pinpoint' exactly, but I can make this feel more direct by turning up the speed and holding it very lightly on my clit; it feels more like a tickle and is quite a sensational feeling. When I can't take that anymore I push the silicone end into my clit. As it's soft, I can push quite hard without it feeling painful.

I can reach orgasm by using speeds 1 - 3, occasionally I venture into speed 4. I don't need a lot of power to come; I start with gentle vibrations working my way up to medium power and this is enough for me.

It's so easy to hold, and I like the shape. The buttons are easy to reach during play. The silicone does stick a bit so unless you like that feeling, I'd recommend using a blob of water-based lube.

There are several patterns. Personally, I prefer constant speeds, and I'd like to see the ratio offered the other way around and have 6 speeds and 4 patterns. Some of the patterns are nice, but I find most of them are just 'meh'!

Super easy as it's waterproof - a spray of sex toy cleaner and a rinse under the tap is all that is needed. The silicone does tend to pick up dust and lint, so you'll need to clean it thoroughly before and after use. Sadly, and disappointingly for a high price product, it doesn't come with a storage bag so I'd recommend you keep the box to avoid it picking up too much dirt and debris.

I like the gentle feeling of the silicone and the relatively subtle vibrations; I also have a sensitive clit that can't handle intense vibrations. So I like this toy. If you're a power queen, I think you'd be disappointed.

If you Ike soft silicone and something comfortable and ergonomic, then you may like this. If you like intense, pinpoint stimulation, then it may feel too broad.

I'm not entirely convinced this is worth the luxury toy price tag, but I do love the looks and shape, and I find it provides me with enough stimulation to reach orgasm.

Great shape, easy to hold, easy reach buttons, soft silicone.
Can feel a bit broad, draggy silicone, confusing buttons!
      Bottom line
Ergonomic vibrator, great shape, gentle stimulation.

    1. Laya Laya, my pants are not on fire

Reviewed: August 15, 2017 by Lavendel

I had been considering purchasing the original Layaspot, as I was in need of a powerful vibe which would cover a large surface area. I was very excited to see that Fun Factory had finally made a rechargeable version in the Laya II, as I am environmentally conscious and a bit of a power queen, so I decided to go ahead and the make the purchase.

As usual for Fun Factory, it came in a sturdy and stylish gold box, complete with instructions and a charge cable, which attaches effortlessly with magnets. The initial charge took around 3 hours, and the flashing buttons let me know when it was ready to play.

I did not even need to read the manual, as the controls are very intuitive, with a 'Fun' button to turn it on, and + and - buttons to cycle through the strengths and patterns. They were fairly powerful, and the sound could easily be muffled with a duvet.

The Laya itself was smaller than I anticipated, and was indeed very ergonomic... in my hand. Unfortunately the shape did not match up with the rest of my anatomy at all. No matter which way I held it, only the two extremes were in contact with my body; the curve was too pronounced to touch anything. Using just one end of the Laya was okay, but a little too blunt to please me. I lent it to my housemate, who is more easily pleased than I am, and she had the same problem.

Since it was not cheap and I already have more powerful and precise toys in my arsenal, I was grateful for Lovehoney's return policy. But this is certainly not a bad toy; I would still recommend it for someone who wants to upgrade to a good quality rechargeable clitoral vibe and is not counting on the shape to do anything special.

Stylish, decent vibrations and interesting patterns.
The shape did not match my anatomy.
      Bottom line
A nice toy, but not all that ergonomic.

    1. Disappointing

Reviewed: August 30, 2017 by Onlyones, a Straight Married Male

Firstly many thanks Lovehoney for choosing us to test and review the Fun Factory Laya II Usb Rechargeable Clitoral Massager. As always delivery was both discreet and prompt.

The packaging is really quite stylish - a gold coloured box with a sleeve incorporating a clever pushup flap to help get the box from the sleeve. Inside along with the massager you will find a charge cable and instruction leaflet. Sadly no storage bag, which for a toy in this price bracket should I think be a minimum, when you consider that the Lovehoney Desire range start at less than half the price of this and they come with a quality storage case the omission of even a bag is for me a minus point.

The charge cable is magnetic and the first charge took around 3 hours.

This massager was actually smaller than I was expecting but it is actually a very good size and fits comfortably in the hand. It has a Fun button that acts as on/off and also as a travel lock and +/- buttons to scroll through the various strengths and patterns.

With our new toy fully charged and an empty house for the night (our son was at his girlfriend's), we decided to give Laya a good test run.

Full of excitement we headed for the bedroom and our date with Laya. Mrs Onlyones prefers a continuous style vibration to a pattern, but in the interest of this review we worked our way through all the settings.

The patterns (rhythms) were not really ever going to do that much for her, but we had high hopes for the 4 vibration intensities. Try as we might we could not get Mrs Onlyones to orgasm. We were both a little disappointed but decided to try again a couple of days later and just test the 4 intensities. Our next try was basically a repeat of the first. Mrs Onlyones found the vibrations pleasurable but just not enough to orgasm.

For our third try we again decided to stick to the 4 intensities but we would start and introduce Laya when Mrs Onlyones was sufficiently warmed up this made no difference and we have tried a few times since, but try as we might she just cannot orgasm with this, it seems that it does not transfer its power well enough for her.

This has probably been one of the hardest reviews to have written simply because we wanted to love this toy, but surely the one thing you want more than anything else is that it makes you orgasm and this didn't.
