Position of the Week:
The Trust Sway

It’s a trust exercise meets sensual sway this week; kind of the ultimate form of sneaking onto your partner’s lap while the movie heats up...

A naked illustrated couple in a seated, trust-fall style sex position.

How?

Start with one partner seated on the sofa, legs comfortably spread and torso leaning back onto the backrest. The receiving partner straddles, facing them.

Grab each other’s arms while the receiver bends their knees and places their feet against the back of the sofa. As the receiver leans back, you should find a nice counterbalance between you that keeps everything stable.

Keep hold of each other’s arms as you begin slow, swaying movements, letting the hips lead. The key is fluidity: small, controlled sways at first, then adjust speed and depth as comfort and rhythm build.

Trust each other

Why?

The playful swaying motion turns your humble sofa into a sexy whirlwind of touching and teasing. Leaning back, the giver’s penis will press against the receiver’s G-spot, while the feeling of being lightly suspended adds and extra thrill. (This also works with a double-ended dildo, if you’ve both got vulvas).

We love that you’ll have loads of eye contact here, especially because when you first start leaning back, you’re bound to get the giggles! As you relax and feel your partner gently holding your weight, this turns from giggle fest to a lovely trust exercise.

Make it even easier

Whoever has the weaker grip should hold their partner’s triceps (the back of their upper arm) as it might give you more staying power. If that doesn’t work, try holding each other’s hands or using a positioning strap like this one by SEI MIO.

You can also brace the receiver’s feet against the seat of the sofa rather than the back, as this will lessen the angle of the lean. As soon as you get tired, try sitting closer and wrapping your arms around each other instead – this is super cute and intimate too.

Make it even better

Try dabbing orgasm gel on the receiver’s vulva and making out before you get in position; the gel will start working on that clit and fire up anticipation.

Slide a soft, stretchy vibrating cock ring around the base of the penis, as this can amplify sensations for the wearer and tease the straddling partner’s clitoris. Adjust the settings mid-sway for teasing bursts: slow pulses for building anticipation, fast pulses for climax.

Experiment with leaning forward or back to shift vibrations across different spots, letting both partners ride waves of pleasure together.

Make it even kinkier

Amp up this trust exercise by putting a blindfold on the receiver. This can deliver a delicious swoopy belly feeling as they lean back and put complete faith in the giver not to let go. (Best to move the coffee table and put a bunch of pillows down, though, just in case!)

If you’re unsure about getting messy and decadent on your gorgeous, tasteful couch, lay a waterproof play blanket down first. That way, you can slip around in lube, bodily fluids, or even kissable massage oil.

It also gives you a convenient surface to lay your toys on where they’re in arm’s reach and won’t get dirty. Clean-up is effortless, so you can get slippery and push boundaries without stress.
